Prayer Blanket Ministry

Charlene Peyton .............................................................812-923-8863

The purpose of the Prayer Blanket Ministry is to provide a tangible ex- pression of prayers to those who have a special need to feel the love of God and our parish community. The Prayer Blanket can bring comfort to the suffering and peace to the fearful. God has used this beautiful minis- try to touch the lives of people who have received the Prayer Blanket,

as well as those who witness it, such as doctors and nurses in a hospital.

The blankets are handmade and blessed at Mass and made available at church, along with a 26-page booklet of prayers, for anyone to take to a friend, family member or parishioner they feel would benefit from knowing that all are praying for them during their time of struggle.

How Can You Help? Assist in sewing Prayer Blankets; Donate materials needed to make blankets or donate money to cover cost of materials; put finishing touches on the blankets; help create the Prayer Booklets.

Call a coordinator above to learn more.
